James Rushford & Joe Talia - Manhunter (2013, Kye, LP)

Well-established Australian electroacoustic and improvisation and general schiavos bring you an elecroacoustic ambient experience.

Droned out at times, but usually evolving and very electroacoustic in its aesthetic, but definitely shooting for a sort of psychedelic minimalism.

Humongous Entertainment Soundtrack Sampler (1992-2000)

This release contains various artists, including well-known composer Jeremy Soule but also his brother Julian Soule, The Fat Man George Alistair Sanger, Rick Rhodes, Danny Pelfrey, and others.

These are tracks from soundtracks that accompanied Humongous Entertainment computer games from 1992-2000. This does not include every Humongous Entertainment game, nor is it necessarily a "Best of" or "My Favorites of": it is simply a sampler pack as has been compiled so far. I believe I will create another Humongous compilation. I definitely plan to release unabridged versions of the Putt-Putt Travels Through Time soundtrack, the Putt-Putt and Pep's Balloon-o-Rama soundtrack.

I apologize for the differences in volume. I was going to go through and edit them all, but I thought its release was more pertinent. The substance is intact. Just be mindful of not trying to play this quietly at work or something... This is meant for drives or zome sessions. To be honest, though, I am of the belief that most video game soundtracks, including the majority of these, are intended to be "ambient music" insofar as they are to glide to the periphery as you focus on the game. Also, they invoke "places you've been," as Eno said, and are sorts of "musical landscapes," especially because these tracks accompany specific screens in the game (well, most of them; on the other hand, some games, such as Freddi Fish and the Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds, allow their Themes simply to play through, regardless of location; for the most part, however, these tracks correspond to certain visual/presumed-3-dimensional spaces).

Feel free to peruse, although they were intended to be played one after the other.
